Zaru Soba

It's weekend everyone!! (3)

I feel happy cause staying at home and spend time with my lovely papa and myself!

Sometimes spend your weekend at home is good cause you get to

clean up your house,

arrange things that you have thrown everywhere after you're home tired of working.

go shopping to fill all your daily use products, just a short shopping!

chatting with your family nicely~

All above were what I have done today~ =D

 Zaru Soba

Back to topic,

I want to share my experience of eating Japanese Cold Noodles (Zaru Soba).

Some knowledge from internet about Zaru Soba:

Soba is the Japanese name for buckwheat and it also means the noodles made from buckwheat flour. As you see in the picture, cold soba noodles are typically served in zaru, which means bamboo basket in Japanese.

That was my first time trying it!

Yesterday I went to Kiku Zakura Japanese Restaurant to have lunch + farewell party for my colleague.

My colleague and I ordered Zaru Soba and we shared!

We both were first time eating zaru soba!

So we don't know how to start!

One of my colleague know how and he tought us!

Green Onions + gingers + bird egg

First add all green onions and gingers to the dipping souce.

For this soba set, there is one bird egg which is raw have to add in the dipping souce too!

You can add wasabi if you want.

Stir it!

Then you can add soba into the dipping souce and eat now!

Below is the video of how to eat zaru soba:

The zaru soba with the dipping sauce taste little salty, little vinegar and feel cold eating it!

That's why the japanese eat this in the hot summer!

If you're a zaru soba lover you would say this set is nice~

But this taste I don't really like it,

so most probably wont order again next time. =P
